About the Role

We’re working with a national leader in the construction and industrial equipment supply sector to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join their in-house SHEQ team. This role is primarily field-based covering their depot network from the Midlands to Bristol, with regular site visits required. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career in a fast-paced, high-impact environment with solid training and progression prospects.

The candidate for this role can be based anywhere from the Midlands to Bristol, as well as the Oxford, Swindon, London areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend practical solutions

  • Monitor and refine operational procedures for safety compliance

  • Carry out site inspections and report on findings

  • Maintain and improve SHEQ systems

  • Lead and support internal training on Health & Safety topics

  • Investigate incidents and suggest improvements

  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry developments

  • Contribute to internal safety communications and reports

  • Ensure compliance around hazardous substances and operational risks

  • Collaborate closely with depot and regional teams

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role in a similar industry

  • NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence safe practices

  • Comfortable working in both office and operational settings

  • Full UK driving licence

  • IOSH membership or equivalent (desirable)
