Service Controller (Part Time)

Salary £30,000 FTE (£18,000 pro rata, 3 days per week)

We’re working with a well-established business within the plant and equipment sector, looking to appoint an experienced Service Controller to support their busy service operation on a part-time basis.

This is a key role within the depot, coordinating engineers, managing workloads, and ensuring a high level of service delivery to customers.

The Role

• Planning and scheduling engineers for service, maintenance and breakdowns

• Acting as the main point of contact for customers and internal teams

• Managing job progress from initial call through to completion

• Ensuring all service records and documentation are completed accurately

• Liaising with parts, workshop and field teams to keep jobs moving efficiently

• Supporting the wider service team with day-to-day operational coordination

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a Service Controller or similar role is essential

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload

• Confident communicator, both over the phone and via email

• Experience within plant, construction, hire or a related sector would be highly advantageous

• A proactive, can-do approach with strong attention to detail
