About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading business in the plant hire and equipment rental sector for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join their team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer or fitter who enjoys maintaining and repairing heavy plant and construction equipment in a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair a range of plant and construction equipment.
* Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults efficiently.
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
* Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the workshop.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Workshop Fitter, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or similar.
* Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience working on plant or heavy equipment.
* Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is desirable.
* Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
* A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
