About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading business within the plant hire and equipment rental industry for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to cover the North West region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to drive new business growth, strengthen existing customer relationships, and play a key role in expanding the company’s presence across the region. The successful candidate will identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver tailored solutions to customers across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and secure new business opportunities across the North West.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
* Promote the company’s plant hire and equipment solutions to a diverse customer base.
* Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and presentations.
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals.
* Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate records using the company’s CRM system.

About You

* Previous experience in a Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, or Field Sales role.
* Experience within the plant hire, construction equipment, tool hire, powered access, or related industries is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Full UK driving licence.
