About the Role
A leading organisation in the plant hire and equipment solutions sector is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join their dynamic support team. With a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement, this business supports a wide range of sectors across the UK, delivering equipment and services with efficiency and precision.
The Role
This is a varied and fast-paced position providing support across administration, hire, and service functions within the Customer Care Centre. The role plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction, operational accuracy, and smooth communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all breakdowns are logged with accurate details
- Maintain 100% accuracy on contracts, off-hires, and exchanges
- Process suspensions in a timely and accurate manner
- Carry out daily contract checks to ensure compliance
- Liaise with buyers for valid PO numbers and site contacts
- Manage job statuses, import job cards and invoices using hire software
- Track and update third-party job progress
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers and manage recharges
- Coordinate parts and sales orders to site
- Maintain up-to-date documentation
- Provide admin support to the rehire and operator coordination teams
- Deliver high levels of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Support team members and perform ad-hoc tasks as required
- Proactively identify and maximise business opportunities
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- GCSE Grade C or above in English Language (or equivalent)
- Admin/call centre experience ideally with a passion for customer service
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure
- A proactive, positive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to business needs
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Prior knowledge or experience in the plant hire or construction equipment industry is advantageous but not essential
