Depot Administrator

Job description
My client is looking for a strong administrator to support the depot manager with a wide range of administrative tasks at a busy Plant Hire depot. Primarily managing the off hire processes as well as delivery and collection administration of hired plant in an efficient and timely manner.

Main responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of all depot operations ensuring customer expectations are fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner whilst ensuring compliance to all procedures and legislation.
• Provide cover for the Transport and Workshop Admin during holidays or sickness
• Support other Depots for holiday cover / sickness
• Purchase ordering for the Workshop Manager
• Ordering and keeping the PPE register up to date
• Ensuring all paperwork is updated and uploaded to the system correctly ensuring that we are complying with ISO procedures
• Depot site inductions
• Managing the Training depot diary and facility
• Ensuring fuel and damage charges established when the machine is returned from hire are processed to ensure maximum recovery
• Using the system to book Through Examination checks
• Updating information on the Hire System (Insphire)
• Liaising with suppliers to gather information for any machine parts needed
• Raising purchase order to support the Depots needs
• Printing workshop documents for engineers
• Willingly perform ad hoc duties as required

Experience requires

• Experience in a Plant Hire / Construction / workshop setting is desired but not essential
• Experience in an administration role in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence multi-tasking
• A good understanding of Microsoft office packages
• A desire to get stuck in and help the wider team
• A bubbly personality with a desire to learn and grow a career in Plant Hire
