Field Service Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company within the construction and heavy equipment sector for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their growing team covering the South Wales M4 Corridor.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with hands-on experience working on crushers and shredders. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and servicing equipment at customer sites while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, repair and maintain crushers and shredders.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Carry out planned servicing and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain company standards.
- Work safely and efficiently while representing the business professionally at customer sites.

Requirements

- Proven experience servicing and repairing crushers and/or shredders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Confident reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics.
- Basic electrical diagnostic experience.
- Experience carrying out repairs rather than only routine maintenance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Applicants should ideally be based within 30 minutes of the M4 Corridor, between Swansea and Swindon.
