About the Role

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, growing supplier of modular and containerised accommodation solutions, seeking a Servicing Engineer to join their friendly and proactive team.

This is a hybrid role, with an average 50/50 split between field and yard-based work, ideal for someone with a strong mechanical or multi-skilled trade background who enjoys variety and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

🔧 Field Work (2–3 days per week):

  • Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on-site

  • Perform unit installations and demobilisations

  • Conduct routine inspections and test welfare units/generators

🏗 Yard-Based Work:

  • Refurbish and repair portable accommodation and container conversions

  • Prepare units for hire: plumbing, painting, basic electrics, joinery, welding, and cleaning

  • Complete off-hire checks and report any damages or issues

About You:

You’ll need to be self-sufficient, reliable, and happy to get stuck into a variety of tasks. Experience in modular buildings, welfare cabins, or similar is a bonus, but we’re also open to multi-skilled tradespeople from related backgrounds.

Skills & Experience:

  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or heating knowledge

  • Confident using power tools and welfare unit equipment

  • FLT licence (advantageous but not essential)

  • Basic electrical competence (preferred)

  • Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and represent the company on-site

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £32,000 per annum (DOE)

  • Overtime paid per job (as agreed)

  • Monday to Friday hours – no weekends

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (includes Christmas shutdown)

  • Training and support provided

  • Varied and rewarding role in a friendly, family-run business
