Mobile Plant Fitter

We’re working with a well-established plant hire business to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to cover the Bristol area.

This is a field-based role, carrying out repairs, servicing and maintenance on a fleet of plant equipment at customer sites. You’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, diagnose faults accurately and keep machines working safely and reliably out on hire.

The role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant equipment

• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on customer sites

• Work primarily on telescopic handlers and associated plant

• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

• Complete job sheets and paperwork accurately

• Liaise with the depot and customers to minimise downtime

• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach on site

What we’re looking for

• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Proven experience as a plant or diesel fitter

• Strong working knowledge of plant machinery

• Comfortable working independently in a mobile role

• Good communication skills

• Full UK driving licence (max 3 points)

Desirable but not essential

• CSCS card

What’s on offer

• Salary up to £38,400 depending on experience

• Monday to Friday working hours (06:00 – 17:00)
