Small Tools Workshop Fitter

We’re recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-regarded hire company based in North London, who are looking for an experienced Small Tools Workshop Fitter to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in tool maintenance and repairs to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of small tools and equipment, including those powered by:

• Electric (110v and 240v)

• Diesel

• Petrol

• 2-stroke engines

While the role is mostly workshop-based, occasional site visits may be required to attend breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small tools and light plant

• Complete service records and job sheets accurately

• Liaise directly with customers when necessary

• Maintain health and safety standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience servicing and repairing small tools and light plant

• Knowledge of diesel, petrol, electric, and 2-stroke engines

• NVQ or equivalent in tool maintenance (preferred)

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Full UK driving licence

• Right to work in the UK

• Salary up to £30,000

• Monday to Friday working hours (6:30am – 4:30pm)
